Decluttering those spaces can help you create a more functional and enjoyable areas for relaxing and entertaining. Choose a starting point to avoid feeling overwhelmed by attempting too many tasks at once.

1 Gather
Please gather items from one area. For example, if you are decluttering your patio, assess your big items and gather your smaller items.
2 Discard
+ trash immediately.
+ broken items that cannot be repair.
+ what you will not use again.
+ what you will not use in the next 6 months.
+ what you haven’t use in a year or more.
Tips:
+ Refresh items such as furnitures with a fresh coat of paint or refinishing them to give them a new look.
+ Keep only decors such as pillows, rugs, lanterns etc if they enhance the ambiance of your space.
+ Store the rest of your decors in your garage or shed and remember to label the containers. And rotate decors throughout the seasons.
+ Add some plants to your space even if you decide on faux plants. They can help add texture and color to create a welcoming space.
3 Organize
Place the items that you will use back into the space. Rearrange furnitures by zoning area for different activities such as dining, lounging or reading corner.
4 Manage
Managing is about maintaining. Time to revisit next summer for another decluttering session.
